Youth Group Volunteer Accused of Sexual Battery

Fairfax County Police

James West

Police charged a Fairfax, Va., man who volunteered for a church youth group with two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Police began investigating after a 14-year-old told parents the suspect gave teens massages. Further questioning by the parents revealed the alleged abuses, and police were contacted Aug. 3.

James West, 23, volunteered at King’s Chapel Church for several years but was not a paid member of church staff.
