Child in Critical Condition after Struck by Car

An 8-year-old child is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Bowie, Md., Saturday night.

Police said the child was crossing Lanham Severn Road shortly before 6 p.m. when struck by the vehicle. The driver stayed on the scene and police said the driver was not at fault.

The child was taken to Children’s Hospital and remains in critical condition.
