A 4-year-old boy drowned after wandering away from a birthday party Saturday evening in Glen Burnie, Md.
Police said Jaden Dixon was attending a party with a relative in the 1100 block of Marley Creek Drive. The party was being held in the front yard of the home.
Investigators said the child was able to get into the backyard, which was secured by gates. He then made his way to a small pier by Marley Creek.
Partygoers noticed the child missing after about 3-5 minutes. After a brief search, the child was seen floating in the creek.
Several guests jumped into the creek and pulled the child to land. They attempted CPR until medical personnel arrived.
Investigators believe this was a tragic accident.
