Cheaters Beware: Dulles Toll Road Could Get Cameras

It will soon be harder to cheat paying the tolls on the Dulles Toll Road.

Drivers have found ways to avoid the tolls by using the gas station on the Dulles Access Road or by going all the way out to Dulles Internatioanl Airport and then coming back.

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokeswoman Courtney Mickalonis told WTOP that is just one of the problems the airports authority is seeing with regards to the free access road.

The airports authority asked the Virgninia General Assembly to allow the installation of cameras and vehicle scanners to catch cheaters.

The airports authority police handed out almost 1,200 tickets for backtracking in 2009.
