Charity Given Green Light to Save Virginia Mobile Home Park

After months of public outcry, Manassas will give the green light to a charity trying to save the homes of more than 250 people.

Last year, residents of the East End Mobile Home Park were told they'd have to move out because of continuing problems with their sewer system. The property owner couldn't afford to fix it and was planning to sell the land to the city.

The city council voted to let Catholics for Housing buy the property instead. The organization will rebuild the faulty sewer lines and allow the homeowners to stay.
