About 3 a.m. Sunday, a woman woke to a man sexually assaulting her in her residence at Bent Tree Apartments in the 13000 block of Winding Oak Circle, police said. She fought back, and the man fled.

The woman then learned electronic equipment was stolen from her apartment, police said.

Police believe the man entered her ground-floor unit through an unlocked sliding door, News4’s Julie Carey reported.

    The victim declined medical assistance.

Police say the man was 25 to 35 years old, standing 5-feet-7-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.
