Firefighters in Prince George's County are trying to determine the cause of a fire that damaged four cars in a multi-car garage at a condominium complex early Sunday morning.

Prince George's Fire/EMS received a report of a fire in a detached six-car garage at 3651 Elder Oaks Boulevard in Bowie at approximately 5 a.m. They arrived and found at least two cars on fire. Additional fire units from Anne Arundel County had to be called in to extinguish the blaze, a process which took around an hour.

Neighborhood residents told News4's Derrick Ward that they could hear explosions coming from the blaze, which could have been tires or windows bursting due to the intense heat. No injuries were reported.
