Carjacking Chase Speeds Out of Maryland, Through DC, Into Virginia

Police in Maryland and Virginia were involved in a carjacking and chase Monday night, resulting in one person arrested.

Montgomery County, Maryland, police said they were called to Silver Spring for the report of a carjacking shortly before 9 p.m. Officers pursued the car into Washington, D.C., before it fled to Virginia.

Arlington, Virginia, police said the car left Interstate 66 and crashed into another car on Lee Highway near North Highland Street. One person was taken into custody.

There were no reports of injuries at the carjacking location in Silver Spring, but two people were injured in the crash in Arlington.
