A car burst into flames on Interstate 395, causing delays during the Thursday evening rush.
D.C. police said the car fire was on southbound I-395 before the Maine Ave. SW exit.
Video from the scene shows massive plumes of smoke as flames engulf the entire car.
D.C. Fire and EMS said the fire has been extinguished and no injuries were reported.
All lanes on I395 are now clear, police said.
