Car, SUV Pushed Into Rockville Dealership Building After Driver Has Medical Emergency

A man's medical emergency caused a chain reaction crash at a Montgomery County dealership Saturday, fire officials say.

An employee of the Ourisman of Rockville dealership at 801 Rockville Pike was driving a Chevy Tahoe that had just been purchased near the maintenance builidng of the dealership when he had a medical emergency, according to the Rockville Fire Department.

The Tahoe then accelerated, pushing the Acura in front of it through the wall of the maintenance building. The Acura was pushed about 25 to 35 feet into the building and a large oil tank was shoved out of the building.

The employee driving the Tahoe was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said. No one else was hurt.

"The biggest issue for us at this point beyond the injury, once we got that taken of, we found structural damage," said Rockville Volunteer Fire Department Deputy Chief Craig Lazar.
