Car Hits Maryland Apartment Building; Residents Displaced

A car ran into a Montgomery County, Maryland, apartment building, injuring the driver and forcing families from their homes on Monday evening.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Pete Piringer said the crash occurred in the 7000 block of Clarendon Road in Bethesda. He said the driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

Seven people from three families were evacuated from the two-story apartment building. They will be kept out until repairs can be made.
