A single car crashed into a utility pole in Arlington on Sunday morning, temporarily knocking out power to hundreds of homes, police say.
Power lines were damaged when the car ran into the pole at the intersection of Wilson Boulevard and 10th Street N., police said.
Dominion Energy's website reported nearly 2,000 outages in the area shortly after the crash. By 9:45 a.m., less than 10 outages were reported online.
All power is set to be restored by 1 p.m., the utility says.
Police didn't detail what led to the crash. It's unclear if the driver was injured.
The crash happened about a mile from the 4200 block of Wilson Blvd., which is closed because crews are installing a pedestrian bridge over the roadway.
Drivers are advised to use N. Glebe Road and Fairfax Drive as alternate routes.
