Police in D.C. saw something quite unusual at 3:30 in the morning.

A car crashed into the Reflecting Pool near the Capitol.

Officers tried to pull the car over, but the driver sped off.

The officers lost sight of the car for a short while, but soon found it in the pool in Lower Senate Park.

The suspects, two men, ran off, but police caught and arrested them shortly after finding the car.

Police say they found a weapon in the car, but have not released any further information.
