Several road closures will be in effect this weekend for Saturday's Capital Pride Parade and Sunday's Capital Pride Parade and Festival.
Capital Pride Parade:
The staging area for Saturday's Capital Pride Parade will be closed starting at 1 pm. The parade will run from 4:30 p.m. to about 7:30 p.m.; road closures will remain in effect until 9:30 p.m.
Parade Route:
- East on P Street from 23rd Street NW
- Clockwise around Dupont Circle
- North on New Hampshire Avenue
- East on R Street NW
- South on 17th Street NW
- East on P Street NW
- North on 14th Street NW to R Street NW to the disbanding area just past R Street NW
Street Closures:
- 25th Street NW between M & N streets (staging area)
- 24th Street NW between M & N streets (staging area)
- 23rd Street NW between M & P streets (staging area)
- N Street NW between 22nd & 25th streets
- M Street NW between 22nd & 25th streets

- Pennsylvania Avenue NW between 3rd & 7th streets NW

- 4th Street NW between Madison Drive NW & Pennsylvania Avenue NW
- 6th Street NW between C Street NW & Constitution Avenue NW
D.C. police say drivers may encounter delays in these areas and may want to consider alternative routes. Drivers should also remember to drive carefully due to increased pedestrian traffic in the area, police said.
