Riders had to be rescued at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg when their roller coaster stopped on the lift hill.
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon when the Alpengeist roller coaster stopped, leaving riders stuck onboard, reported local news agencies.
Busch Gardens officials said in a statement that no riders were hurt during the shutdown. Officials said the park's maintenance team identified the issue and reset the ride, which was later reopened.
