Police are searching for someone who has shot at buildings in Fairfax County and the town of Herndon. Northern Virginia Bureau Chief Julie Carey reports. (Published Monday, Aug. 17, 2015)

Several office buildings in Herndon, Va. and the Herndon area of Fairfax County have been hit by bullets.

A Fairfax County Police Department spokeswoman said Monday that four buildings have now been hit, with the first bullet holes found July 24 and the most recent found August 5. In three incidents, the shooter hit the upper levels; in one incident, ground-floor windows were struck.

"It appears the suspect is driving up in front of the business, discharging the weapon and driving away," FCPS representative Shelley Broderick said.

No one is known to have been injured in the shootings. FCPS and the town of Herndon are each investigating two incidents in their jurisdiction.

Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to visit www.fairfaxcrimesolvers.org, text TIP187 plus your message to CRIMES** or call 1-866-411-TIPS. A cash reward of $100 to $1,000 will be paid for information that leads to an arrest and indictment related to the incidents in Fairfax County. Tipsters do not need to give their names or appear in court.
