Broken Water Main Causes Water Outage in NW D.C.

Residents of a northwest Washington neighborhood may be without water for much of Thursday morning as crews repair a broken water main break.

D.C. Water crews were called to the scene in the 3100 block of Warder Street NW at around 4:30 a.m. The broken eight-inch water main is impacting 18 homes and two 12-unit apartment buildings.

Water at the affected homes will be restored in six to eight hours.

Warder Street is closed between Irving Street and Kenyon Street NW. Drivers should use Georgia Avenue as an alternate.
