Britain's Prince Harry is in Washington to accept an award for his charitable activities on behalf of wounded servicemen.

Harry is expected to visit with wounded veterans on Monday at the British Ambassador's Residence. At night he'll be attending an awards dinner hosted by the Atlantic Council at the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Harry has worked with a number of charities. They include Walking With the Wounded, a British charity that retrains and re-educates veterans, as well as Help For Heroes, which helps wounded servicemen and women.

The Atlantic Council is a Washington-based think tank. Its annual award ceremony will also honor U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.
