Teen Shot on Metrobus

A 17-year-old boy was shot on a Metrobus in Southeast Wednesday evening.

D.C. police went to the 1700 block of Minnesota Avenue at about 5:10 p.m. and found the victim suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds to the wrist and right side. The driver reported the shooting.

Police chased a suspect but did not apprehend him and he remains at large. Some buses are equipped with surveillance cameras, but this bus wasn't.

The shooter and victim apparently were fighting or arguing on the U2 bus prior to the shooting.

The boy was taken to an area hospital. Nobody else on the bus was injured.
