Police in Baltimore County are investigating the shooting of a bouncer outside a bar in Halethorpe early Saturday morning.

Investigators say the shooting took place at around 2 a.m. outside Depaolas Pub at 1401 Sulphur Spring Road. They believe that the bouncer had originally escorted the shooter out of the bar. However, once the men got outside, police believe the suspect produced a gun and began firing at the bouncer, even attempting to follow him back into the bar.

Authorities say that several people inside the bar were able to subdue the shooter. The victim was taken to a hospital and neither his condition nor the extent of his injuries was immediately known. The suspected shooter was also taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained while he was being subdued. His condition was not immediately known.

Neither man's identity has been released.
