Body Found at Metro Station

Investigation ties up downtown traffic.

The Farragut North Metro station was temporarily closed this afternoon after a body was found on the tracks.

Fire and rescue officials say the body of the unidentified man was “free of the train,” but could not say if a train had hit him.

A portion of Connecticut Avenue and K Street in Downtown Washington were closed for the investigation, but have since reopened.  Metro ran shuttle busses between Metro Center, Farragut North and Dupont Circle stations.
