The body of a man was found in a shallow grave in a Montgomery County park on Saturday, according to a park official.

Lt. Rick Pelicano, a spokesman for Montgomery Parks, said bow hunters discovered the body in the Great Seneca Stream Valley Park, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The investigation was turned over to Montgomery County Police.

The chief medical examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide due to upper body trauma.

Paul Starks, a spokesman for the police, said the body was discovered on Saturday, but the body wasn’t removed until Sunday.
