The body of a 22-year-old man who had slipped into the water at Great Falls Monday was pulled from the Potomac River Thursday evening, police confirmed Friday.

A 911 caller reported what appeared to be a body in the water near the Maryland Chute north of Anglers Inn, and rescue crews responded by boat.

Mark Moore, 22, or Odenton, Md. was last seen when he was sitting in the water at the Great Falls overlook when he waded in deeper and got swept downriver.
