Bobby Brown Performs in Prince George's

Paid tribute to Whitney Houston

Bobby Brown joined his R&B group New Edition on their reunion tour in Prince George's County on Thurday night.

The group played a sold-out concert at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro.

"I'd like to say thank you for your prayers," Brown said to the crowd.  "I'd like to say thank you, period."   He continued, "I'm going to throw two up for Whitney, that's my love."

Before the performance, many fans told News4's Shomari Stone they thought he Brown wasn't going to show up.

During the show, Brown paid tribute to his late ex-wife, Whitney Houston, saying "I love her like I love God."

During their tumultuous marriage, Brown and Houston had one child together, a daughter.

Houston will be buried this Saturday in New Jersey.
