Md. Man Used Selfie Stick to Record Woman: Police

A Bethesda man has been accused of using a selfie stick to record videos of a woman who lived above him, according to Montgomery County Police.

Donald F. Beard, 60, allegedly recorded the videos through a window using a camera attached to a long, metal pole. Police say Beard continued this behavior for more than a year.

Detectives found 16 videos of the woman, including one clip showing her naked, on Beard’s electronic devices.

He told police he wanted to collect evidence of the woman’s affairs with married men, so he could tell their wives, according to court documents.

Beard is facing four charges, including using a camera to record a private residence.

In a statement to The Washington Post, Beard's attorney Stanley J. Reed said his client will not plead guilty.
