Is former D.C. mayor Marion Barry turning into Charlie Brown?
After thanking a "a fair judge"who extended his probation for two more years instead of sending him to jail as prosecutors had asked, former DC mayor Marion Barry is looking to settle the score.
On Saturday, Barry called on Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to investigate the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District.
The D.C. Council member, who said he filed his 2008 returns on time and continues to pay the taxes he still owes, said that he wants to know why federal prosecutors "continue to harass and embarrass" him.
Hmmm.... Let's see. Could it be for, uh, we don't know, failing to file your 2007 tax returns on time? Or violating your probation for previous tax offenses?
Barry told reporters that he thinks it's personal.
We think Hizzoner is going to start singing, "Why's everybody always pickin' on me?"
