Bank Robber Uses Superhero Disguise

Prince George's County Police

Usually superheroes fight against criminals, but someone dressed as Spider Man was on the other side of the law on Wednesday.

Prince George's County Police said a man wearing a black-and-white Spider Man disguise robbed a BB&T bank in Fort Washington at 3:18 p.m. on December 7.  The bank is located on the 9400 block of Livingston Road.

Police said the suspect showed a handgun to the bank teller, then handed her a note demanding cash.  According to investigators, the suspect was between 5'5'' and 5'7'', wearing a Spider Man sweater and a Spider Man mask,.

There’s no word on how much cash the suspect got away with. No one was hurt in the incident.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit at 301-772-4905.
