Alleged Felon Leads Police on Chase Through Baltimore, D.C.

The pursuit for a suspect allegedly wanted on felony warrants in Baltimore County wound its way through Northwest D.C. and ended in Chevy Chase, Md. Friday evening.

The chase began at approximately 8 p.m. at Harford and Joppa Roads in Carney, Md.

The felon led Baltimore Police to Interstate 695, then to Route 70 through Howard County, officials said. Maryland State Police joined in the chase as the alleged felon drove through busy D.C. streets -- including DuPont Circle and Northwest.

The chase ended just after 9 p.m. in the 5400 block of Wisconsin Avenue at the border of the District of Columbia and Maryland. The suspect's Jeep -- with all four tires blown out -- crashed, injuring the suspect who was then handcuffed and placed in Maryland State Police custody.
