A baby was found near the body of a slain woman in Bladensburg, Md., Thursday night, authorities said.
Shawnta Lysheema Coleman, 33, was discovered at about 10:30 p.m. behind an apartment complex in the 5600 block of Emerson Street.
Coleman had been shot to death, authorities said. The baby was unharmed in a car seat.
Coleman lived in Alexandria. It’s not clear what brought her to the apartment complex in Bladensburg.
Prince George’s County police have not been able to confirm if the baby is related to Coleman.
No suspects are in custody.
