Calf Born at Montgomery County Fair

A first-time mother delivered her baby boy at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair -- and authorities saw it coming.

Born early Sunday morning before the fair's opening, the baby calf is the first of six live births expected over the course of the 62nd Montgomery County Fair. Located next to Old McDonald's barn, the birthing center allows the viewing public a chance to witness the miracle of nature -- so long as the cows cooperate.

The fair ends Aug. 21, meaning that the fair hopes to see an average of one calf birth per day until the end of the fair. It remains to be seen whether the fair's bovine expectant mothers will live up to expectations.
