Two of the English-speaking world's greatest cultural contributions will come together once again next week, as WSC Avant Bard holds its second annual "Shakespeare in Klingon" show at Artisphere in Arlington.
The show, subtitled "The Wrath of (Michael) Khan" in a nod to the company's artistic director, will feature scenes from some of The Bard's best-known plays, including "Hamlet" and "The Tempest," performed in both English and Klingon, the language of the "Star Trek" villains.
Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, WSC Avant Bard will be holding open auditions for extras (they'll select as many as four) in Dupont Circle. The only catch is that you need to show up in full Klingon costume. No, we're not making that up.
Hey, nobody said the course of true love (or authentic Klingon) ever ran smooth.
