D.C. police are investigating an attempted abduction in Northeast.

A man tried to take an 11-year-old girl from 62nd and Banks Street before 9 a.m. Monday, according to the report.

He’s described as a black man about 30-40 years old with a dark complexion and short hair. He weighs about 160-170 pounds and was wearing a white tank top and gray or black slippers.

The child was not injured.
