A northern Virginia man found guilty of setting a Lorton sandwich shop on fire was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday.
In February, 25-year-old Horace Thompson intentionally poured gasoline inside The Sub Shop on Richmond Highway and ignited it, investigators said.
That set off a massive explosion and fireball that caused extensive damage to the store, seriously injuring the owner.
Thompson was convicted in October. He was described as an "associate" of the owner.
