Three teens were arrested following a series of night robberies this summer in Rockville, Md., according to the Rockville City Police Department.

The robberies occurred July 21 and July 31 near the Elwood Smith Park, Welsh Park and the College Plaza Shopping Center, police said.

According to police, the adult victim of the first robbery said several suspects approached him near the entrance to Elwood Smith Park, implied that they had a weapon, and took his wallet and cell phone before fleeing.

In the second robbery, officers went to Welsh Park about 9:30 p.m. after reports of several people assaulted while playing soccer, police said. According to police, the victims noticed several people going through a bag of theirs, confronted them about it and -- following a struggle -- one of the suspects displayed a handgun before all the suspects fled on foot.

The third robbery occurred at the College Plaza Shopping Center about 30 minutes later. According to police, the victim said he was taking out the trash when two suspects approached him, struck him in the face, showed a handgun and took his wallet before fleeing.
