Arrest Made in Killing of Maryland Woman, Dog

A suspect has been arrested in the murder of Maryland woman who was killed inside her own home.

In March 2013, Nicole Burgess, 37, was found stabbed to death inside her home in Davidsonville, about 30 miles south of Baltimore.

Her dog, a pit bull mix, was also stabbed to death.

Anne Arundel County Police announced an arrest in the case Sunday, but so far haven't released any details on the suspect. They're expected to provide details of the arrest later Monday morning.

Police have not talked about a motive in the crime.
