A man's body has been found at Fort Belvoir in Virginia, Army officials said.

The body was found in a wooded area on the post on Monday, said Fort Belvoir spokesman Carl Purvis. Officials believe the man was a soldier.

The man's name is being withheld as Army criminal investigators probe the circumstances of the death and officials notify the man's family, Purvis said.
