Prince George's County Police say that an apparent armed robbery just off the campus of the University of Maryland was actually a Halloween hoax.
It happened in the 7300 block of Baltimore Avenue just after 2 a.m. -- downtown College Park near the College Park Shopping Center.
Police did alert students of the alleged robbery, but now they so-called victim and suspect knew each other.
