Police in Carroll County are looking for two people who committed an armed robbery early Sunday morning.
Investigators say that an Eldersburg man in his 20s met the two perpetrators on Hodges Road in Sykesville to sell them an iPhone at around 2 a.m. When he arrived at the meeting point, one of the two suspects threatened him with a hammer and ordered him to hand over his money. The other suspect gave the same command while holding a knife to the victim's throat.
The victim complied before fleeing the scene and contacting police.
The suspects are described as a man and a woman, both white, who were driving an older model silver Oldsmobile or Pontiac.
