Armed Home Invasion Near GMU

Incident happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday

Two armed, masked men robbed a Fairfax house late Tuesday night, Fairfax police report.

Just before 11 p.m., two adult males wielding guns entered a home on the 4800 block of Carriage Park Road in Fairfax, officers said.  The address is right next to the George Mason University campus.

Police said five GMU students were studying and playing video games at the time of the home invasion.

The two armed suspects entered the home and demanded money and valuables, according to police.  The students complied, and no injuries were reported.  Officers said the thieves left with electronic items.

A K-9 unit and a helicopter assisted in the investigation Tuesday night, but no arrests were made.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 1-866-411-TIPS.
