Arlington Police have given the all-clear at the scene of an investigation into a suspicious vehicle on Courthouse Road.

A bomb squad had responded to the site of the suspicious vehicle, and the investigation had led to the evacuation of several nearby buildings -- including Arlington's 911 center.

Patrons at the nearby AMC movie theater had to shelter in place while the scene was investigated.

The incident started at about 2:30 p.m., when an Arlington officer approached two men in or around a Hertz rental truck. The officer grew suspicious when the men did not give forthcoming answers to the officer's questions.

Then, police were unable to open the truck.

However, a bomb squad found nothing dangerous.
