Arlington Man Accused of Raping Child in Pennsylvania

Arlington County police arrested a man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in Pennsylvania.

Palmyra police said Roger Valdez, 38, of the 800 block of South Adams Street is accused of meeting the minor over the Internet and taking her from her home Monday to the Dutch Motel at 500 Main Street in Palmyra, Pa., and allegedly having sex with her repeatedly, according to WHTM.

Valdez is charged with three counts of involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault of a child under the age of 13, indecent assault of a child under the age of 13 and corruption of a minor, WHTM reported.

Palmyra police are working with the FBI and Arlington County police. Valdez will be extradited to Pennsylvania for prosecution.

Palmyra is located on the western edge of Lebanon County, 17 miles east of Harrisburg.
