Dominion Virginia Still Accepting Applications for Help Paying Heating Bills

Eligible customers in Dominion Virginia Power's EnergyShare program may receive a one-time payment of up to $600

Dominion Virginia Power is still accepting applications to help customers keep their homes warm this winter.

The energy company said Monday that eligible customers in its EnergyShare program may receive a one-time payment of up to $600 per heating season.

EnergyShare is a program of last resort for the elderly, the ill and anyone facing financial hardships from unemployment or family crisis and needing help paying energy bills.

Last year, it helped nearly 13,000 families pay part of their winter energy costs.

Dominion says the year-round program has raised more than $55 million in its 32-year history.
