Another Home Invasion, Sex Assault Reported

Latest incident happened in Temple Hills

Prince George's County Police are investigating a home invasion and sex assault that happened Friday morning to see if there are any connections to two similar incidents that occurred over the past few days in Montgomery County.

Police said a woman was sexually assaulted and five other people were tied up at about 6:30 a.m. Friday in a home in the 2500 block of Berkley Street in Temple Hills, Md.

Investigators said the incident started when a woman went outside to warm up her car. Police said the woman saw a suspicious man and went back inside but did not lock the door. That's when police said the man entered the home with a gun.

Police said the suspect eventually got away by stealing the victim's white four-door 2008 Honda Civic with Maryland plates 6AE9788. The vehicle was later recovered at around 7 p.m. Friday.

Prince George's County investigators are talking with Montgomery County police to see if the incident is related to a home invasion and sex assault that happened Wednesday morning in Bethesda and another robbery of a home in Wheaton Tuesday morning.
