Analysts to Testify on Expanded Maryland Gambling

Gov. O'Malley could call a special session next month

Analysts will tell a group of Maryland lawmakers what they think of a proposal to expand gambling in the state on Tuesday.

Gov. Martin O'Malley has said he'd call a special legislative session next month to take up the issue -- if lawmakers can reach an agreement on how to proceed.

They're considering a proposal to allow table games at Maryland casinos. They may also add a casino in Prince George's County.

Maryland Live! opened

last week in Arundel Mills, with Vegas-style slots and a high-limit room, plus 3,000+ slot machines, plus electronic versions of blackjack tables, roulette and poker.
