VRE's Manassas Line Reopens After Man Struck by Freight Train

Manassas City Police say a pedestrian was struck by a freight train overnight.

A man was struck in the 8500 block of Quarry Road in Manassas. His condition is not known at this time.

Trains on VRE's Manassas Line were temporarily suspended while police conducted their investigation.

VRE says trains are now running and will depart every 10 minutes. Trains 330 and 332 are expected to run on time.

Police do not suspect foul play.
