Amtrak Operated on Modified Schedule Sunday

Expect delays between Baltimore and DC

UPDATE: Amtrak's Northeast Corridor service operated on a regular schedule Monday. People who had purchased tickets already but decided not to travel were allowed refunds.

Amtrak will operate a modified schedule on Northeast Corridor trains Sunday because of damage from Friday night’s storms.

Service between Philadelphia and Washington was stopped for a time on Saturday because of trees falling on tracks and power lines, but service was restored later in the day.

Repairs and debris removal will continue Sunday, so passengers should expect delays, especially between Baltimore and Washington.

Passengers with ticket issues from Saturday's cancellations can call Amtrak at 800-USA-RAIL. Updated schedule and train status can be found at amtrak.com.

Amtrak said it would issue on an update Sunday night for travel on Monday, July 2.
