Amazon to Offer Same-Day Delivery to D.C.

WASHINGTON -- Impatient -- and last-minute -- online shoppers willing to pay a premium shipping price will be able to get same-day delivery in the D.C. area.

Washington is one of seven metropolitan areas getting the same-day delivery option from Amazon.com, the Washington Business Journal reported.

Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Seattle and Las Vegas also have the same day option. It will be added for buyers in Chicago, Indianapolis and Phoenix in coming months, Amazon says.

To qualify, orders must be placed by 10:30 a.m.

Now if Amazon could only get its hands on Doc Brown's DeLorean ...
