Fairfax County Police are investigating a hit-and-run that injured a 16-year-old boy in Alexandria Friday night.

Police say the boy was crossing Broadmoor Street at the intersection of Telegraph Road in front of Hayfield Secondary School when he was struck by a red minivan that was turning on to Broadmoor Street. Investigators say that the minivan continued down Broadmoor Street without stopping.

The teen was taken to a local hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking the driver of the minivan to come forward. They are also asking any witnesses or anyone with information about the minivan or its driver to call 1-866-411-8477 or 703-691-2131
