Airports Authority Launches Crime-Reporting System

Website offers convenience for victims

Did you lose something at the airport? Were you the victim of a hit-and-run in the airport parking lot?  Now reporting such issues is more convenient for victims.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority police department has launched a new online system for the public to report non-emergency incidents and crimes.

Those incidents include theft, lost property, vehicle tampering, theft from a motor vehicle, hit-and-run, vandalism, harassing phone calls and identity theft.

To report a crime, go to www.mwaa.com and click on "emergency services," then click on the link to citizen online police reporting.

Airports Authority Police will review each report and notify victim of its status and provide a printed police report.

The incidents must have occurred at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, the Washington Dulles International Airport, the Dulles Toll Road or the Dulles Airport Access Highway.
