A student defended himself against an adult at a Howard County high school Wednesday, and video of the incident is getting a lot of attention online.

A Long Reach High School football player defended himself against a masked man who reportedly went to the school in Columbia, Md., to settle a dispute over French fries thrown in the cafeteria, according to school officials.

The incident was caught on cell phone video and has been viewed more than 800,000 times online.

Police told 11 News in Baltimore that second-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges are pending against the man. A student related to the man was charged with assault.
